By the shores of Potomac...

We went on a drive to Washington DC during the last weekend to watch the Cherry Blossoms. The rainy morning worried us a bit, but my late afternoon the skies cleared up. The blossoms were mostly washed out by the rain, but the beautiful sunny weather that followed for the rest of the evening provided a very good photo opportunity for me.

Taken from the walk way adjacent to the Potomac river in DC on 11th April 2009, 6:40 PM using my Nikkor 18-55 lens mounted on my Nikon D50 body

Exposure: 1/200th of a sec
Aperture: f/7.1
Focal length: 18 mm

Note: The monument that you see beyond the tidal basin of the Potomac River is Jefferson Memorial
